field trip
This weekend the fourth grade traveled to Austin and San Antonio. We have been studying the Texas Revolution, and had been pressing social studies so much last week to get them prepared. Come Friday we felt they were well prepared and ready to go. Sunday morning we left the school and set out for the Alamo!
While in San Antonio, we were able to see the Alamo and Mission San Jose. We walked along the Riverwalk and had dinner, and enjoyed the hotel as well! Monday we set out for Austin. We toured the Visitor's Center, the Capitol, and the Bob Bullock Museum. They were 2 jam packed days of learning and fun, and overall the trip was a huge success.
Fortunately the entire 4th grade had Tuesday (today) off since we had school all day Sunday, and it has been a fabulous day with an equal balance of productivity while being able to rest up and prepare for the remaining days this week.
